Hit the Coin (Outdoor game)
Materials: Ball, coin, chalk (optional)
This is a great Sunday morning ball game, perfect for those times when you don’t want to run around too much and mess up your clothes. Place a coin on the crack between squares in the sidewalk or draw two boxes, each 5 feet (1.5m) square, and separate them with a straight line. One player stands in each box. The object is to bounce the ball on the coin, which scores 1 point. If your ball flips the coin over, you get 2 points and the chance to put the coin back on the dividing line, in case it has been knocked away from you. If you miss the coin completely, you continue to take turns bouncing the ball until someone scores a hit.
The first player to reach a score of 21 wins.
